If POP3 setup fails please only then try IMAP


IMAP settings:

Incoming mail server: imap.mailhostingservice.com
IMAP port : 143 (if SSL off) ; 993 (if SSL on)

Encryption type: Auto

Outgoing mail server: smtp.mailhostingservice.com
Outgoing port : 587

Encryption type: Auto



Follow these steps to create an Outlook 2007 IMAP account:

  1. In Outlook, go to Tools and Account Settings. Below the Email tab click New.
  2. Choose the email service you wish to configure: Choose IMAP.
  3. Select the manually configure server settings or additional server types check box. This will automatically enter in all of the required fields.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click the Internet Email bubble.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Enter the following information:
    • Your Name: This is the display you want to use, such as Joe Smith.
    • Email Address: This is your full email address, such as username@example.com.
    • Incoming Server: imap.mailhostingservice.com
    • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.mailhostingservice.com
    • Username: This is your full email address, such as username@example.com.
    • Password: This is your email account password.
  8. Click More Settings.
  9. Follow these steps to enable SMTP authentication. 
    • Navigate to the Outgoing Server tab
    • Select the My Outgoing Server requires SMTP Authentication checkbox.
    • Click OK.
  10.  Configure Advance Settings:

            Incoming server (IMAP): 143 (if SSL off) ; 993 (if SSL on)

            Use the following type of encrypted connection : Auto

            Outgoing (SMTP) : 587

            Use the following type of encrypted connection : Auto

            Enable leave a copy of messages on the server

 11. Click on OK

 12. Click on Test Account Settings to check for errors

  13. If you are getting a certificate error, just click on continue using this server 

 12. If test is successful, click Next.

 13. Click Finish.
